That is why clean air is not just about adding one tiny filter at the gun and hoping for the best. You need distance, cooling, draining, and filtration.

Just remember, a gun-mounted filter has limits. If your compressor tank is wet, your line is short, and your separator is mounted too close to hot air, that little filter is doing a job it was never meant to handle alone.
